Tom Epps, Partner

Expertise

Tom Epps is a Partner in the Business and Regulatory Investigations Department at Russell Jones & Walker.

He is Chair of the Law Reform Sub Committee of the London Criminal Courts Association and a member of the Association of Regulatory and Disciplinary Lawyers.

Tom acts mainly for clients facing allegations of fraud including SFO, Revenue and Customs, FSA and DTI prosecutions. He also has represented police officers in many high profile corruption cases, inquests and other Inquiries.

Experience

He has considerable experience of representing business people who are the subject of extradition proceedings.

He recently wrote an article for the Commercial Litigation Journal entitled "Where Crime meets the Boardroom" and lectured at the British Bankers' Association on critical incidents procedures. He is due to give a presentation at the forthcoming White Collar Crime Conference together with speakers from Simmons & Simmons, Herbert Smith, DLA and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Tom has had many articles published in the legal press and he lectures regularly on matters including advising clients at the police station and disciplinary proceedings.

Career

Tom joined Russell Jones & Walker in 1999 and was made a Partner in 2003. He studied law at Manchester University, graduating in 1992.
