Shula is a Solicitor in the Criminal and Investigations Department.

Experience

Together with Rod Fletcher and Judith Seddon, she recently successfully defended one of the defendants in the manslaughter prosecution which arose following the Hatfield train derailment.

Shula has experience of representing clients in all areas of criminal law. Shula, together with Rod Fletcher, is currently representing a defendant in the NHS price fixing fraud.

Career

Shula joined Russell Jones & Walker in 2001 and worked as a paralegal in the Department prior to commencing her training. Prior to joining Russell Jones & Walker, Shula had 10 years experience working within the criminal law field. Shula qualified in April 2006.

Education

Shula undertook her legal studies on a part-time evening basis at the University of Westminster gaining a 2:1 in her LLB in 2000 and completing her Legal Practice Course in 2003 graduating with a distinction.

Professional Memberships

She is a member of the Association of Regulatory and Disciplinary Lawyers and the London Criminal Courts Solicitors Association.

Shula is Chairman of the Committee of the Young Fraud Lawyers Association.
