Expertise

Scott Ingram specialises in criminal law, and heads the Criminal & Misconduct group. He has been a partner at Russell Jones & Walker since 1989.

Experience

Scott has been involved in a number of high-profile cases. Scott represented the finance director in the SFO prosecution of the three main directors of Independent Insurance after the collapse of the company.   He is an acknowledged specialist in police shooting cases and lectures on the legal issues in post shooting incident procedures.  He is currently representing the police officers involved in the Stockwell shooting.

Career

Scott completed his articles at Wontner & Sons in 1983, and thereafter specialised in criminal law.  He was a duty solicitor at Bow Street Magistrates Court and undertook prosecution work for Surrey Constabulary pre the Crown Prosecution Service. He joined RJW in 1986 since when he has specialised in defence work.

Education

Scott was educated at Warriston School in Dumfriesshire and has an LLB from Brunel University and passed his solicitors finals in 1981, qualifying in 1983.

Scott is a member of the London Criminal Courts Solicitors Association, the Criminal Law Solicitors Association and the International Bar Association
Scott is a member of the Serious Fraud Panel and is recognised as a specialist fraud lawyer by the Legal Services Commission.

Interests and hobbies

Scott is a keen golfer.  He has, in the past, raced motorcycles and maintains a keen interest in motorcycle racing.
