Dominik is a Solicitor in the Property and Asset Management Department. Before Joining Russell Jones & Walker in 2000, Dominik graduated with a Masters degree in Law at Kingston University before completing the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in Store Street, London, whilst working as a Lecturer in Law and serving as a branch official of the University and College Union (formerly NATFHE). He qualified as a Solicitor with Russell Jones & Walker in 2002 and has since rapidly established an emerging reputation and successful niche practice dedicated to Boards of Institutional Trustees and leading national charitable Trust’s.
Experience
Dominik’s practice covers all aspects of Trusts Law and specialises in Trustees’ powers of investment and asset management. He also develops and provides bespoke professional training and guidance covering all aspects of Trust management and administration to Executive and Branch Board Trustees of the Police Federation in England & Wales, together with managing Trustees of Trade Unions and a wide range of charitable Trusts.
Professional Memberships
Dominik has also developed particular expertise in advising and representing Trustees of major charitable Trusts and benevolent funds dedicated to personnel of the emergency services throughout the United Kingdom. Of all his achievements to date, Dominik is particularly proud of his role in advising and assisting the Trustees of the Police Dependants’ Trust in successfully lobbying the Government to amend the Charities Bill 2005 for the benefit of the Police and all other emergency services.
Dominik is a member of the Charity Law Association.
Dominik is also a member of the Property team and handles all aspects Commercial Property litigation with a particular emphasis on representing commercial tenants. Dominik was closely involved throughout in the leading case of Allied Dunbar Assurance plc –v- Homebase Ltd [2002].
Dominik is a member of the London Solicitors Litigation Association.
