Expertise
Liz works entirely for Claimants. She specialises in the area of road traffic accident and in advising victims of crimes of violence. She has a particular interest in claims involving spinal injuries. She regularly gives pro bono advice to the national charity, Victim Support. She also regularly advises the Crossroads Women's Centre and Women Against Rape in their work in obtaining compensation for victims of sex abuse, assault and rape
Career
Liz Dux is the Head of the Fast Track Unit for the London Personal Injury Department of Russell Jones & Walker. This Unit was established in 2000. Liz has been with Russell Jones & Walker since she started as a Trainee in 1988. She qualified in 1990 and was made a Partner within the Personal Injury Department in 1995.
Education
Liz studied law at Brunel University, graduating in 1987 with a 2:1 Hons in Law. She has written numerous articles, particularly for client publications, and is a regular lecturer, particularly to Victim Support and other charitable organisations, on obtaining compensation for victims of crimes of violence.
Publications
Publicised successes in the past included acting for Lizzie James, the Honeytrap Officer in the Rachel Nickell Enquiry for which she recovered £125,000.00 in compensation and acting for Paula Craig, a serving Police Officer who was paralysed in a road traffic accident for which she successfully recovered £1 million damages within 12 months from the date of the accident.
