Ivor Adair is an Assistant Solicitor in the London Employment Department.

Experience

Ivor has a wide practice encompassing all aspects of Employment Law.  Ivor has advised claimants in cases involving sex, race, disability, sexual orientation discrimination and age discrimination. 
He has experience in personal injury law and has advised Trade Unions, Staff Associations and their members on a variety of employment law issues, including health and safety issues, occupational stress and bullying claims.  He has particular experience in the increasing overlap between personal injury claims and disability discrimination claims and in High Court litigation.
Ivor has also has advised Trade Unions and Staff Associations on collective disputes and also has experience in Judicial Review/public law and High Court Appeals against decisions of the Pension Ombudsman.
He also has an interest in data protection and workplace privacy issues.

Education

Ivor studied law at Queens University, Belfast and completed his professional exams at the College of Law, London. He is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.
Ivor trained at Russell Jones & Walker and qualified into the Employment Department in 2006.

Interests and hobbies

His outside interests include music, keeping fit, horses and horseracing, golf, skiing and snowboarding and anything with an engine.
