Clive Howard is a partner in the Employment department. He is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and is on its editorial committee. Clive has been praised in the Chambers and Partners legal directory, where he is ranked first amongst claimant employment lawyers, and noted as acting for chief executives and directors of international companies, law firm partners, traders and analysts.
Clive specialises in all areas of employment law with particular emphasis on executive and director's disputes and terminations with discrimination and whistleblowing. His recorded cases include Turner v Grovit (an injunction preventing an employer from legal action overseas), Edgar v Met Office (whistleblowing) and Jenvey v Australian Broadcasting Commission (contractual redundancy).
His recent cases include securing multi-million pound settlements for whistleblowers in the City and in multi-nationals, representing partners in discrimination disputes with their law firms, and representing individuals in FSA investigations.
Clive completed his articles at Gordon Dadds, qualified in 1988 and was an assistant solicitor at Russell Jones & Walker from 1989 before becoming a partner in 1994. Clive was educated at Kingston Grammar School and then Worcester College, Oxford.
In his spare time Clive's interests are his family, playing tennis and golf, skiing and QPR.
