Alison Bridgeman, Solicitor

Alison graduated with a BSc Hons in geography from Durham University. After graduation, she pursued a career in marketing before deciding to study law. Alison completed the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in Guildford, graduating with a distinction.

Alison joined Russell Jones & Walker in 2007 after completing her Training Contract at Carter-Ruck Solicitors in London.

She also obtained 3 additional years' litigation experience prior to working at Carter Ruck, obtained at Shoosmiths solicitors and Finers Stephens Innocent solicitors.  

Alison has substantial experience in acting for Claimants in defamation proceedings against national newspapers, including the recent case of Stickland v EMap

She also has significant commercial litigation experience, having particular expertise in group negligence actions against financial institutions and bringing proceedings under the Commercial Agency Regulations. She has long standing experience of applying the Civil Procedure Rules in the High Court and County court and of advising on litigation tactics.

Her outside interests include sport (particularly cricket and rugby), travel to developing countries, photography and philosophy.
