James Bell is a Partner and head of the Clinical Negligence team based in London. James qualified in 1997 and joined Russell Jones & Walker in 2007.
Experience
James’ practice encompasses all aspects of Clinical Negligence claims including birth injuries to mother and baby, anaesthetic injury claims, misdiagnosis/ delays in cancer cases, dental negligence, prescription errors, gp negligence, retained surgical instruments, cosmetic surgery, hip and knee surgery, assault claims including elderly and psychiatric patient abuse cases.
Career
James also has a wealth of experience in high value Personal Injury claims and acted for a large number of the injured and bereaved from the Ladbroke Grove and Potters Bar train crashes. He has also successfully pursued a large number of Carbon Monoxide injury claims including one of the largest ever awarded in the UK. Much of his work has involved fatal cases and he is very experienced in inquest law and procedure.

He is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) and is recognised as being an expert in Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence by being on the Law Society Personal Injury Panel and the Law Society Clinical Negligence Panel.
