Expertise

Adam is a Partner and Director of Information Technology at Russell Jones & Walker, responsible for IT strategy and systems at the firm.  Additionally, he has 12 years experience as a practicing lawyer which gives him unrivalled appreciation of technology in a legal services context.

Experience

Originally a successful litigator since 1991, Adam is dual qualified in law and IT.  He made the transition from legal practice to management in 2003 and subsequently accepted the role of information systems management at the firm, restructuring the IT service and roles within the firm to more closely match the needs of its staff and clients.  Today, Adam is closely involved with the firm’s efforts at modernising legal services, using technology as both a service differentiator and to retool in an industry undergoing significant change and opportunity.

Career

He joined the firm from Pannone & Partners in 2001 as a Fee Earner and successfully migrated to the firm’s Management Team in 2003 before being appointed IT Director in April 2004, following involvement with a strategic review of the IT function and the acquisition of Claims Direct.  Under Adam’s stewardship, firm has received multiple IT industry awards.  Adam was awarded Legal IT Forum Director of the Year (Small to Medium Sized Firms) Award in October 2006.

Adam has been widely published in the Legal IT press, including master classes on flexible working, Communications Strategy and Commoditization of Legal Services.
