Probate
Probate is the process of administering your estate to establish what assets exist, assess who is entitled to what, gather in the assets, settle any debts and distribute the proceeds.
We will advise on any entitlement under the Will. If the deceased is intestate - has not written a Will, we will advise you of the way in which the law sets out who receives a share in the estate.
In larger estates we will liaise with the Inland Revenue to deal with payment of Inheritance Tax and completion of tax returns. We will then provide the personal representative with Estate Accounts to facilitate the distribution of the estate to those who are entitled to a share.
