Having represented Trade Union Claimants all her working life, Tracey has made occupational accident and disease work her area of specialisation.
Experience
Tracey regularly acts for sufferers of asbestos related disease, as well as those with Hand/Arm Vibration Syndrome (VWF), Industrial Deafness, RSI and other work related conditions. She also represents Claimants who are injured in accidents at work as a result of their employer’s negligence.
Notable successes are:
• Representing three members of a family (mother, father and young son) who were injured in a private aircraft accident, where the aircraft was piloted by the father’s mother. The aircraft crash landed in a field during their return from holiday. Compensation was negotiated in the sums of (1) £80,000, (2) £145,000 and (3) £3,716 respectively.
• Acting for the widow of a retired engineer who died from the fatal asbestos related mesothelioma condition. Compensation was awarded in the sum of £275,000.
• Representing a medically retired Police Inspector who suffered hearing damage whilst on secondment overseas as a result of not being provided with hearing protection whilst on firearms training. Compensation was ordered by the Court at almost £300,000.
• Recovering compensation for a young widow when she suffered the loss of her Police Officer husband following road traffic accident whilst on duty overseas. A settlement was also agreed for their young child. Total compensation was ordered in the sum of £420,000.
Career
Tracey Graham qualified as a Solicitor at Watson Burton, Newcastle upon Tyne, in 1994. She joined Russell Jones & Walker in 2002 and became a partner in 2005. She became Head of the Personal Injury Department in Manchester office in 2006.
Education
Tracey was educated in Yorkshire, and Newcastle upon Tyne.
Publications
Tracey has prepared articles on health & safety matters for Trade Union publications, and the local press.
Professional Memberships
She has been a member of the Law Society's approved panel of personal injury solicitors for many years, and is also a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers. Tracey has regularly presented seminars to Trade Union Representatives and members on health & safety issues, and disease claims.
Interests and hobbies
Outside of work, Tracey lives in rural Lancashire with her husband, a Trade Union National Secretary. They share a keen interest in football (her - Newcastle United and him - Blackburn Rovers).
