Russell Jones & Walker Hires Stockbroking Legal Chief
Legal Week
27 September 2007
Russell Jones & Walker has strengthened its employment team with the hire of Collins Stewart Tullett’s former general counsel, John Marshall.
Marshall, who was the former head of legal for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) at the leading financial services group, joined the London office of Russell Jones at the beginning of the month (5th September) to take up a role as an associate in the employment team.
Marshall was the EMEA general counsel with Collins Stewart Tullett for seven years before the company de-merged in December 2006, splitting into Collins Stewart the stock-broker. And inter-dealer-broker Tullett Prebon.
Marshall remained EMEA general counsel for Tullett Prebon until May.
He commented “I wanted to get back into private practice. Team moves and employment disputes are on the rise in the City and I was keen to join a firm that is leading the legal market in this area.”
Russell Jones’ employment team comprises 28 lawyers throughout the UK, 21 which are based in London.
