Specialises in Defamation, Media, Reputation Management, Privacy and Breach of Confidence, Professional Negligence and Commercial Litigation Responsible for private client Defamation work Acts for both Claimants and Defendants Particular interest in Equine matters and is a member of the Equine lawyers Association
Sarah’s defamation clients are diverse; MP’s, Judges, Solicitors, Public Schools, Private individuals, Chief Constables and Senior Civil Servants. Sarah has successfully made claims against a variety of National and Local publications including BBC and C4.
She has also enjoyed success in defending defamation claims brought against the Manchester Evening News, the National Autistic Society, and a prominent City Alderman and a public limited company.
Sarah has expertise in Internet/ISP defamation and has represented an international business man in respect of damaging allegations about his company on a French website
Sarah’s expertise in these areas is recognised by the media and her opinion and analysis of high profile cases is regularly published and broadcast in the national and legal media. She was recently recognised as one of nine leading Claimant defamation experts in the Independent Newspaper.
She is a member of the Civil Justice Committee and Dept of Constitutional Affairs panel on Defamation Costs

Reputation Management is a growing area of Sarah’s practice and recent clients include Chief Constable of Kent and the former Chief whip in the House of Lords (now deceased)
Sarah has also advised on numerous Breach of Confidence and Privacy matters including a number of claims against the News of the World.
