Some frequently asked questions about conveyancing
Q. What is conveyancing?
A. Conveyancing is the legal and administrative work needed to transfer ownership of a property. The process starts after you have made or accepted an offer. You will need conveyancing whether you are buying or selling a home or if you are just re-mortgaging with a different lender.
Q. Can I do it myself?
A. Conveyancing is complicated and time-consuming. In theory you could do it yourself, but because it involves a number of legal documents, it could be risky if you do not know what you are doing. In any case, your mortgage lender may insist a professional does the work.
Q. How much will it cost?
A. Our fees are based on a fixed basis so that you can budget your costs from the outset. To find out how much your conveyancing transaction will cost, please visit our online calculator where indicated.
