Jeremy is a Partner in the Business and Regulatory Investigations Department, specialising in white collar crime with emphasis on corruption, fraud and financial regulation.
Experience
He is admitted in England and Hong Kong, and has extensive experience of litigating significant fraud and white-collar crime in both jurisdictions.
In the past 12 months Jeremy has acted for clients in connection with a significant international corporate corruption investigation, the SFO’s Imperial Consolidated prosecution, proceedings in Italy arising out of the Citigroup Bond Trade of August 2004 and allegations relating to the obtaining of export licences for valuable works of art.
Career
Jeremy qualified as a solicitor in 1989. He joined Russell Jones & Walker in 2001 and was made a partner in 2004.
He is a Supervisor on the Legal Services Commission’s Specialist Fraud Panel, and a member of the Association of Regulatory and Disciplinary Lawyers. He has previously served on the Committee of the London Criminal Courts Solicitors Association.
Publications
Jeremy is included the "best in the UK" section of fraud lawyers ranked by Chambers UK where he is described as a "great practitioner". He is also recommended in The Legal 500.
Jeremy is a frequent writer and speaker, and is published regularly in The Times and other publications. He is the author of the chapters on Corruption and Funding in Fraud: Criminal Law and Procedure published by Oxford University Press in April 2008.
He has also given expert comment on CNN, BBC News 24 and BBC Radio 4’s Today in addition to being regularly quoted in the leading national press.

Interests and Hobbies
A keen supporter of rugby, Jeremy sits on Rugby Football Union Disciplinary Panels and has been appointed as the Judicial Officer at IRB World Series 7's tournaments in London, Dubai and Hong Kong.
