Customs prosecutions
In 2004 the Government announced the merger of the Inland Revenue and HM Customs & Excise and the Independent Revenue and Customs Prosecutions Office will now be responsible for all future prosecutions.
We have extensive experience of successfully defending individuals both before and after trial in such cases and our expertise includes prosecutions for tax evasion, conspiracy to defraud, duty evasion, money laundering an d the largest of the Missing Trader frauds recently prosecuted.
We have been published in The Times in relation to the high profile problems with recent Customs prosecutions and have lectured on this subject. We were also consulted by Customs as part of its internal review conducted as a result of these problems.
