Expertise
Susan is a Solicitor in the London Criminal Department.
Her practice encompasses all aspects of criminal and disciplinary law. She regularly represents clients at Magistrates’ Courts and Police Stations. Specialised areas include sexual offences, computer crime and fraud
Experience
She has advised clients in a number of work-related manslaughter investigations and has substantial experience of representing police officers facing serious criminal and disciplinary proceedings.
Susan's recent successes include halting a number of prosecutions at the close of the prosecution case in matters where her clients were accused of misconduct in public office.
Education
Susan completed a Physics degree at Merton College, Oxford University before deciding upon a career in law. She completed her CPE and LPC at the College of Law, London achieving a distinction in her LPC.
Susan trained with the firm and qualified into the Criminal Department in 2001.
Professional Memberships
She is a member of the London Criminal Courts Solicitors Association and has assisted the Association in responding to consultations on proposed legislation and guidance. She is also a member of the Association of Regulatory and Disciplinary Lawyers and for the last 2 years was Treasurer of the Young Fraud Lawyers Association. She is an LSC supervisor and regularly lectures on a range of topics.
