Sarah Webb and Jeremy Clarke-Williams on BBC
BBC
16 July 2008
Sarah Webb was interviewed on BBC News 24 and Jeremy Clarke-Williams was interviewed on BBC Radio Wales on Wednesday this week where they both commented on Robert Murat agreeing to the settlement of libel actions he brought against a number of national newspapers.
Murat, who was alleged to have been involved in the disappearance in Portugal of Madeleine McCann, launched his action in April against 11 newspapers and one broadcaster in what was the largest number of claims ever made against different British media outlets in the same case. Murat was the first formal suspect, or arguido, in the McCann case but has denied any involvement in her disappearance in May 2007.
