John is a partner in the Employment department based in London.
John specialises in all aspects of employment law with particular emphasis on public law and regulated employment, pensions and health and safety. He has conducted numerous applications for judicial review covering matters including pensions, retirement, probationer dismissals, police powers, overpayments and discipline. He has also conducted high profile litigation including cases in connection with the British Telecom Pension Scheme (which led to payments estimated at over £200 million). He advises institutional clients regularly at head office level on terms and conditions matters and on the impact of new legislation including commenting on draft legislation.
Interests and hobbies
His personal interests include football, Latin American music and not driving.
