A Royal Air Force (RAF) technician who was left paralysed from the neck down after slipping during a work-related game is seeking compensation of up to £6 million.
Robert Uren was taking part in a team game which involved diving into an inflated pool to collect plastic fruit.
The 24-year-old lost his footing and sustained three fractured vertebrae in his neck, leaving him confined to a wheelchair and suffering from severe spasms.
He has since been medically discharged from the air force.
Mr Uren is now suing the Ministry of Defence and Corporate Leisure - the international firm which supplied the inflatable games and claims to have been involved in more than 4,000 corporate events across the globe.
In an interview with the Daily Mirror, he said: "I'm determined to get on and enjoy myself as best I can, but I find it hard to come to terms with having sustained my disability in such a pointless exercise."
