Katie Price and Peter Andre win libel damages

Celebrity couple Katie Price and Peter Andre have secured substantial libel damages after they took action over claims they were uncaring parents.
The pair sued News Group Newspapers - a subsidiary of Rupert Murdoch's News International - over stories that appeared in February in the News of the World which were based on an interview with former nanny Rebecca Gauld.
In a new development, the newspaper's solicitor apologised and accepted the allegations were untrue, adding that the couple were decent and responsible parents who deeply cared for their children.
Speaking after the hearing, Katie told reporters: "Pete and I love our kids and would do anything for them.
"Anyone who has kids can imagine how it would feel to be accused publicly of being bad parents."
Although the pair would not reveal how much money had been awarded to them, they said they would donate half of it to charity, with the other half set to go into a trust fund for their children.
