Henry's wife files for £10m divorce payout

Former Arsenal footballer Thierry Henry's wife is in line for a huge divorce settlement, it has been reported.
The France international and his wife Clare Merry were granted a divorce yesterday on the grounds of Mr Henry's "unreasonable behaviour".
Now according to reports, the striker, whose personal fortune stands at an estimated £25 million, could face the largest divorce payout ever made by a footballer.
Ms Merry is thought to have asked for a settlement of £10 million, which experts predict may be paid as a lump sum rather than as a proportion of Henry's future earnings.
The granting of the decree absolute is expected to take at least six weeks.
Mr Henry left Arsenal this year for Spanish club Barcelona, where he is thought to earn a weekly wage of £130,000.
Previous divorce settlements involving footballers have seen Ray Parlour, also formerly of Arsenal, pay his wife £4 million plus a further £406,500 annually, while David James was ordered to pay £3 million.
