Footballer Ashley Cole's wife Cheryl Cole has been advised she could receive up to £4 million if she divorces her husband, the Sun reports.
According to the newspaper, a "well-placed" source said that Cheryl, who believes Ashley has cheated on her, had been receiving advice concerning possible legal proceedings.
The source stated: "She has taken advice on divorce and it is now a very viable option. She'd be looking at about £4 million."
"She has suffered a complete emotional breakdown. Her family is absolutely furious with Ashley for what he has done to this beautiful young lady," the source added.
Cheryl is said to have moved out of the couple's mansion in Surrey in order to take a break from the arguments they were having.
Ashley married Girls Aloud singer Cheryl in July 2006 after the pair became engaged the year before.
