A company has agreed to an out-of-court settlement over a case in which a man lost his life to an asbestos-related cancer.
Keith Russell died at the age of 64 from mesothelioma - a disease which affects the lining of the lungs or the abdomen.
During an inquest, it was revealed that his death was a result of long-term exposure to asbestos at work, This is Nottingham reports.
Mr Russell had been employed at Royal Mail's Brook Street building in Sneinton.
The firm still claims that there is no evidence to prove he had been "negligently exposed" to asbestos while at work and thus refused to admit liability.
However, it has now agreed to pay his widow, Lesley, £155,000 in compensation.
She said: "I would have liked them to admit liability because of everyone else, there are bound to have been others."
Ms Russell went on to say that she hopes more people will come forward with claims.
