A woman who was assaulted on two separate occasions while at work has been awarded a payout of £835,000.
The care worker, who wishes to remain unnamed, was first attacked in 1996 and then again in 1999.
As a result of the incidents, the 38-year-old suffers pain on a daily basis and will not be able to work again, Crain's Manchester Business reports.
She sustained injuries to her neck and right shoulder.
Her former employers, Trafford Healthcare NHS Trust - which has a total 690 part-time and full-time members of staff - admitted liability for the incidents and has now agreed to pay her the compensation.
The sum is intended to cover her future financial losses, including loss of earnings, as well as her future care costs.
According to her legal team, the injuries she suffered in the assaults will continue to affect her for the rest of her life.
