Sue is a Solicitor based at our Birmingham office. She has significant experience of representing clients in relation to a wide range of Criminal Offences & Misconduct matters.

Sue is experienced in representing clients at all stages of a criminal investigation and court proceedings. In particular she is regularly instructed to represent Police Officers facing Criminal and Misconduct allegations.  

She has represented clients accused of a large range of offences. This includes serious offences of violence, including murder and attempted murder. 

Sue has represented numerous clients accused of sexual offences including allegations of rape and sexual assault. In 2006 Sue represented the lead defendant, who was acquitted, in one of the largest and most complex cases involving multiple sexual child abuse that had ever been tried at Luton Crown Court.  

She also has experience of defending clients in relation to allegations of fraud and dishonesty.

Sue advises clients on regular basis in relation motoring matters, from driving without due care and attention through to death by dangerous driving. She has particular experience of advising police officers in relation to incidents arising out of ‘emergency response’.

Since joining RJW Sue has gained substantial experience in representing Police Officers facing misconduct proceedings

Sue was admitted as a Solicitor in 2004. Before joining RJW in 2007, Sue worked in a High Street firm in Hertfordshire.

Sue graduated from Cambridge University with a 2:1 Honours Degree in Law in 1999. While working as a paralegal, she completed the Legal Practice Course with a commendation from the College of Law in London.
