Experience Overview

Richard Geraghty is a Principal Lawyer (Partner) in our Personal Injury Department in the London office of Russell Jones & Walker part of Slater & Gordon Lawyers.

Richard’s main area of practise is in personal injury litigation dealing with multi-track cases varying from Road Traffic Accidents, fatal accidents, employer's liability, occupational stress, RSI and public liability. He also has an interest in Criminal Injury Compensation Appeals (CICA)

Richard deals with a variety of cases that arise from Accidents in public places. He has been involved in a number of high value claims where he has acted on behalf of police officers, including the highest ever award achieved on behalf of an officer from Suffolk Constabulary. He has a particular interest in cases involving Claimants who have been involved in multiple accidents and also in psychiatric injury cases.

A further area of specialisation is the Social Security Appeals, and in particular those relating to industrial injuries and disability benefits. Richard has been involved in a number of appeals at both Tribunal level and with the Social Security Commissioner. He has acted in a number of high value and complex appeals including cases involving catastrophic injury.

Independent investigation looks into E-coli breakout at Godstone Farm - Richard represented eight of the victims who contracted E-coli whilst visiting Godstone farm in Surrey.
