Clive Howard is a partner in the Employment Department, based in London. Clive leads the department’s private client unit and advises partners, executives and other senior employees.

Experience

Clive undertakes all types of employment law work for his clients and has particular expertise in acting for senior workers in disputes, notably terminations, whistleblowing cases and discrimination claims. He also acts for professional partners in profit share disputes or on moving between firms, including partners in investment management firms, and has experience of advising employees on FSA compliance and disciplinary issues. Clive also represents members of the League Managers Association and has niche experience advising senior staff in the media sector.

Clive is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and is on its Editorial Committee.

Background

Clive studied Politics, Philosophy and Economics at Oxford before qualifying as a solicitor at Gordon Dadds. He joined RJW in 1989 and became a partner in 1994.

Outside of RJW

Clive is married and has 2 daughters. When he has the chance he enjoys tennis, golf and skiing, as well as encouraging his daughters to appreciate QPR.
