Christian Shotton
Litigation Executive
Experience Overview
Christian is a Litigation Executive and covers all aspects of Personal Injury work. He deals with Occupational Disease claims, which include Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome (Vibration White Finger/Raynauds Phenomenon), Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI) and Deafness. He has a Diploma in Law from the Institute of Legal Executives and is also a member.
Christian's main focus now is as the Team Leader and Supervisor in charge of pursuing a High Court Group Litigation of over 5,000 Product Liability claims; the largest consumer group action in the UK. The claims arise out of allergic skin reactions and respiratory problems suffered by Claimants who purchased Chinese manufactured sofas between 2004 and 2008 from a number of retailers throughout the UK, which are contaminated by the chemical compound Di-Methyl Fumarate (DMF) and possible other chemicals too.
Alongside Faulty Products, Christian also deals with all aspects of Personal Injury work, specialising in both Cycling Accidents and Employers' Liability claims.
Prior to joining Russell Jones & Walker, Christian acted on behalf of the NHS for over 5 years in Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury actions. Christian then acted on behalf of the General Medical Council for 2 years, with respect to Professional Misconduct Hearings. He has been a member of Russell Jones & Walker's Birmingham office since July 2004, acting only for injured Claimants, not Defendants.
