Personal Injury cover for Federation members
The Police Federation provides cover for members injured in accidents both on and off duty, as well as for members of their families injured in the same or separate incidents.
Your cover as a Police Federation member includes:
- Legal representation for self/spouse/dependents injured in any accident
- Cover for accidents occurring in the UK and abroad
- CICB/CICA appeals
- Claims to Motor Insurers' Bureau under the Untraced Drivers Agreement
- Road Traffic Accidents
- Clinical Negligence Claims
Every case is important to us, from £1,000 to £1 million. Our PI team are experts across all areas of personal injury claim, with particular experience in incidents on duty.
Why pursue a claim through the Federation?
It's not just the member who benefits:
- Personal injury cases DO NOT COST the Federation (or their members) at all, even if the case is unsuccessful. We take all the risks
- For every successful case the Federation recovers a minimum of £400 provision and in some cases a referral fee per case. This is used to contribute towards a legal fighting fund for any Police related issues saving the Federation (and its members) money on other legal services
- Legal Expense Insurance isn't required to pursue a claim - all members are covered by the Federation
