Skiing Injury Cases

Client receives £22,000 for Back Injuries Sustained in Skiing Accident

19 November 2009

Our client was on a skiing holiday in the French Alps. He had paused at the edge of a slope half way down the mountain run and without warning another British skier crashed into him. He sustained significant back injuries and had to be taken from the mountain by air ambulance. Both parties were British and the potential defendant insured the matter was able to proceed on a relatively straight forward basis.

Liability was admitted early on as the defendant had to accept an assumption of fault as he had crashed into our client from behind. Our client is a chef and his back injury caused significant discomfort for a period of time and still continues to give him low level discomfort. The work of a chef can be quite heavy in respect of lifting pots and pans etc, so taking this into consideration our expert solicitors settled the case allowing our client to receive £22,000 skiing accident compensation.
