Lying on toxic sofas causes many to suffer from blistering burns

25 May 2008

People have been suffering blisters all over their body after lying on their toxic sofas. Thousands of people who suffered an agonising allergic reaction from sitting on the top-selling leather settees that were sold by Argos and Lane of Leather are now putting forward a legal case. The sofas were treated with a potent fungicide to stop them going mouldy in storage; however the substance had triggered violent irritant-related eczema in some people.

Christian Shotton, an expert solicitor at Russell Jones and Walker has highlighted that severe cases have required hospital inpatient treatment for a week and that there could be many more suffering that are not aware of what is causing their problems.

What Clients say

This was a major class action involving a vast number of claims therefore must have taken a lot of organisation, which was extremely well handled in my case.
