Client receives £10,000 after suffering an accident at work

17 April 2010

On the day of the accident our client had stepped up on to the back of the lorry to assist his colleague with the delivery of a sofa. As he did this he slipped at the back of the lorry, which was wet due to weather.

The lorry had an anti slip mat in place, however, this had been sprayed over with paint upon the lorry’s four year refurbishment.  Our client reported this to his manager; however nothing was done about this. The paint caused the anti slip mat to be ineffective. When our client returned to work after recovering from his injuries, the anti-slip mat had still not been replaced. Our accident at work solicitors settled this case for £10,000 and highlighted clearly that this was a case of employer’s liability.

What Clients say

This was a major class action involving a vast number of claims therefore must have taken a lot of organisation, which was extremely well handled in my case.
