Client receives £3,000 compensation claim after injury caused by pothole while cycling
22 November 2011
RJW represented a cyclist who was on her way home when she hit a pothole with her front tyre, causing her to crash into a metal barrier at the side of the road. The cycling accident caused damage to her bike and bruising to the left upper arm and left thigh as well as a break to her right thumb. At the time of the accident she did not seek medical assistance but instead visited her GP at a later date who subsequently sent her to St George's Hospital due to the pain she was suffering with her cycling injuries. Diagnosing a break to the right thumb, our client decided to pursue a claim for compensation which resulted in her receiving a £3,000.
