Group restructure lead to our client's role being identified as redundant
10 October 2011
We acted for a client who was employed by a pan-European wealth management institution. Following the announcement of a group restructure, our client was informed that her post had been identified as one that was to be made redundant.
The client was most unhappy that she had been selected for redundancy as she thought that her selection was unfair. We were able to argue successfully on her behalf, that the selection process had in fact been unfair. As a result, the institution agreed to increase its initial offer of a very basic redundancy package to a substantial five-figure sum plus the payment of all the client’s legal fees.
