Clinical Negligence Solicitors, Russell Jones and Walker, acted on behalf of a lady who underwent a 'Cleavage Sparing Mastectomy' by surgeon Mr Ian Paterson in Birmingham a number of years ago. The surgery is usually carried out to strict NHS guidelines. However, in our client's case, the surgeon left behind excess tissue within the breast. Fortunately for our client she read an article about the issue in the local press and was able to have surgery to remove the excess breast tissue.

Medical Negligence Claim Brought Against NHS Trust

Our client had an operation in July to remove a tumour. Two weeks later it was discovered that a swab used in the operation had been left in the wound. The wound became infected and the lady had to visit her GP every day for one month to have the dressing changed.

Surgical Negligence during operation Results in Further Pain for our Client

A gentleman underwent surgery on his injured knee. During the surgery he was to have tissue placed in his knee. It was only then that the surgeon realised that he had been given the wrong tissue for the operation. Therefore, our client had to have another operation later in the year.
