£150,000 Compensation After Nerve Damage Caused in Operation
2 January 2011
Upon completion of a hernia operation our client was aware that something was not quite right and suspected that he had suffered a nerve injury whilst being operated on. He eventually underwent further surgery to identify what was still causing him pain. It was discovered that a stitch had been placed around a nerve.
Expert opinions confirmed that it had been incorrect to place a stitch around the nerve. The defendant admitted liability and after negotiations with our expert clinical negligence solicitors our client was awarded £150,000 in compensation.
