RJW’s Medical Negligence Solicitors Settle Liver Cancer Claim

12 October 2010

Our client was a widow whose husband died due to the medical negligence he received from his doctors who failed to detect his liver cancer. Our client's husband was referred to the NHS Trust for tests. Although doctors noticed an abnormality on his blood results, they failed to recommend a liver biopsy. As a result, he was wrongly informed he did not have cancer.

Our solicitors argued that if the correct diagnosis had been made earlier, our client’s life expectancy would have significantly extended.  An earlier diagnosis of the cancer would have allowed him to have planned his remaining life.  Our expert cancer medical negligence solicitors were able to negotiate a settlement for our client of £12,500.
