Public Inquiries
Experts in Public Inquiries
Public Inquires are held when there is public concern that something has happened requiring an open, fair and thorough investigation by a body independent from the problem. They are not necessarily held in public nor will the report of the inquiry necessarily be available for public view.
Such inquiries may be in relation to events that suggest a breakdown in the rule of law or where there has been a shocking crime, or those which have caused deaths such as the Victoria Climbie Inquiry or the Marchioness Inquiry.
We can provide practical legal advice to our clients combined with sensitivity at all times. We can lead you from start to finish through the inquiry and can assist with:
- Conducting a thorough document review
- Preparing documents and statements
- Interviewing witnesses
- Determining the extent of public access
- Protecting the rights of the people involved
- Providing representation at court hearings
