Sport accident client receives £1500 in compensation
16 November 2011
Russell Jones & Walker acted on behalf of a client who was injured in a well known gym, through kicking a punch bag as part of his exercise regime. The punch bag had not been rolled regularly, as is required, to ensure an even distribution of the filling. As he kicked it, he struck a hard patch, causing him to sustain injury.

Snowboarder collides with skier
19 November 2009
Our client was on holiday in the Swiss Alps. She was skiing down a slope when a snowboarder collided with her from behind. Fortunately all this was captured on film by our clients’ friend. The snowboarder apologised and admitted he was going too fast. This is one of a number of cases we have where people have been hit by snowboarders. The potential defendant is British. The claimant’s injuries have been quite extensive and several surgical procedures have been operated alongside rehab.

Skiing Accident Results in Ankle Injury
19 November 2009
In a recent skiing accident, our client was injured whilst skiing in Italy. He was wounded coincidently, by a British skier. The potential defendant fell on a drag lift colliding with our client, whereby he suffered a nasty ankle injury. Unfortunately the defendant has proved difficult to deal with as she did not provide details of her home address; therefore a tracing service had to be employed to obtain this information. This matter is still ongoing.

Client receives £22,000 for Back Injuries Sustained in Skiing Accident
19 November 2009
Our client was on a skiing holiday in the French Alps. He had paused at the edge of a slope half way down the mountain run and without warning another British skier crashed into him. He sustained significant back injuries and had to be taken from the mountain by air ambulance. Both parties were British and the potential defendant insured the matter was able to proceed on a relatively straight forward basis.
