Experts in Brain & Head Injury Claims
Our approach to brain and head injury claims
Although every brain injury claim is different because each client has individual needs, we will try, at a very early stage, to give you our frank assessment of likely compensation, so you can plan for the future.
We have considerable experience of dealing with these claims and can ensure that experienced professionals support all aspects of your brain or head injury claim. As well as expert legal knowledge, cases require first class accident investigation and medical support. Compensation is integral to provide a suitable quality of life for those affected by brain injury but we also know that this is not always enough. Rehabilitation, aids, equipment and medical treatment are all key in helping someone with a head injury return, as much as possible, to independent living.
Interim payments
Whenever possible we will speak to the defendant’s insurance company to arrange interim payments for you. These payments, which are made before the case is settled, can be used to cover expenses such as medical treatment, rehabilitation or housing or transport adaptations.

We have an excellent team to help manage your case and care. Cerys Edwards
RJW Partner, Richard Langton, represented the Edwards family when their 11 month old daughter, Cerys, was severely injured in a terrible road traffic accident, caused by the dangerous driving of Antonio Boparan in November 2006. Despite the severity of Cerys’ injuries, the maximum sentence for dangerous driving was only two years in prison. Boparan was jailed for 21 months and served just six months of his sentence.
The Edwards family mounted a campaign to have the sentencing law changed and presented a 13,000 signature petition to Downing Street in July this year.
Thanks to their hard work and dedication today (23rd Dec 09) the law has been changed so the maximum sentence is now five years.
