We recognise that after an accident financial security for you and your family is essential.   The injury may mean that you are entitled to receive all kinds of state benefits and it is not easy to work out what you should apply for.  Some will be means-tested and others are not. 

Since each case is different our Serious Injury Group are happy to advise clients on which ones they are eligible for.

Means-tested benefits

Entitlement to the following means-tested or income-related benefits is affected by most other types of income and the amount of savings you have:

• Child Tax Credit
• Council Tax Benefit
• Housing Benefit

Non-contributory benefits

• Attendance Allowance
• Carer’s Allowance
• Child Benefit
• Disability Living Allowance
• Guardian’s Allowance

Contributory benefits

• Incapacity Benefit
