FAQ's
- Q. I have received written notice of a disciplinary hearing, can my lawyer come with me?
A. Most employers will not allow a lawyer to attend. However, you have the statutory right to be accompanied by a trade union representative, or colleague. You do not have to be a trade union member for a trade union representative to be your companion.
Q. If I am not a trade union member, how can I get a trade union official to accompany me?
A. Russell Jones & Walker has long-standing relationships with trade unions, and Connect in particular. We offer a special service to our clients, allowing them to benefit from a trade union representative from Connect at workplace hearings.
Q. Do any other law firms provide this service?
A. No. We believe that Russell Jones & Walker’s “Executive Reps” service is the only service of its kind.
Q. How much does it cost?
A. The Executive Reps service starts at £400+VAT for accompaniment at a straightforward workplace hearing (which includes an administration fee).
