Welcome to the third edition of our newsletter, designed to update you on our recent activities and interesting developments in employment law.
We are delighted to announce that we have once again been named "Employment Team of the Year" by The Lawyer magazine. We previously won the award in 2000 and 2002, making this our third win in the seven year history of the award.
RJW's entry focused on the case Lingard v HM Prison Service, described as "the biggest whistleblowing case of the year". It also highlighted the range of high value senior executive whistleblowing claims the team have successfully negotiated, reaching multi-million pound settlements, as well as continued successes in ground-breaking precedent cases.
Since our last issue, EqualityXpress, our online advice service, has extended to discrimination due to age, disability, sexual orientation and religion. EqualityXpress offers free and confidential advice to people concerned they may have been the victims of discrimination, at the click of a button. It is the first service of its kind in the UK.
