Training & Development
Russell Jones & Walker views the development of its people as an important investment to ensure the capability and effectiveness of the firm. All new recruits to the firm undertake an induction programme to help them understand the firm and their role. The most important part of the development process is learning on the job, supplemented where necessary by more formal education and training programmes.
Development needs are identified through the firm’s appraisal process. The firm aims to provide comprehensive internal training to fee earners and support staff in order to ensure that they are fully up to date with developments in their field. Additionally, the firm provides access to good quality, cost effective external courses where necessary.
It is against the firm’s policy to discriminate directly or indirectly in the selection of candidates for training courses or other opportunities for training and development.
Flexible Working
Russell Jones & Walker recognises the need to provide a work-life balance and that there are often times when individuals have commitments that prevent them from working the standard office hours, but who still wish to maintain their employment and contribution to the firm.
For those employees who require a more flexible approach to their working day, we can offer a variety of flexible working options. These include compressed full-time hours, part-time hours, or working from home. This enables individuals to benefit from flexibility in relation to their start and finish times, whilst for the firm it promotes the retention of skilled workers and highlights the organisation as an employer of choice.
